Lennox Castle

Lennox Castle - Urban Exploration
Lennox Castle was built between 1837 and 1841, in the square style of a Norman castle for John Lennox Kincaid
In 1936, Lennox Castle was used as an Institution for Mental Defectives.
During World War II, the castle was requisitioned for use as a hospital
In 1942, the hospital allocated beds to maternity patients, lasting until 1964.
On November 3, 1948 Scottish singer Lulu OBE was born here.
Lennox Castle Hospital closed in April, 2002 & now lies in (very unsafe) ruins & in now on the register of Scotland buildings at risk!
What a shame for a once very impressive building. Around March each year the surrounding woodland is blanketed by snowdrops
